Who pays my feed-in tariff?
For the statutory feed-in tariff in Germany, the grid operator is responsible for payment. The statutory entitlement to the market premium is also against the grid operator. Sales revenue and the practical arrangements for direct marketing additionally depend on your direct marketing contract. The metering operator supplies the readings used for these processes.
Does a meter replacement change my remuneration?
A new meter does not, by itself, create a new remuneration rate. Tell us about your PV system when ordering through StromNow. Our partner Metrify handles installation and assesses the required metering arrangement as part of preparation. Clarify whether the arrangement and data provision suit your existing billing setup.
Is a smart meter also an energy management system?
No. An energy management system schedules or controls how devices work together. The metering system provides measurement data. Before buying, check which interfaces your PV system, battery, EV charger and energy management system support.
How does StromNow fit in?
Smart Charging requires a supported vehicle or compatible home charger. Installing a smart meter does not automatically enable control of every device in your home.
