What if I have several meters?
List all existing meters and their purposes in your enquiry, such as household electricity and a heat pump. Explicitly ask whether your current metering arrangement can be retained. Decide on combining meters only after checking conversion costs and any tariff benefits.
Which installations require a specific assessment?
Examples include cascade metering, transformer-operated metering, interval demand metering, medium-voltage connections and new connections without an existing meter. A standard order does not automatically confirm suitability for these installations.
Which current ratings are supported?
Ask Metrify to check the protective device rating and the meter model required. Do not infer suitability solely from an ampere rating printed on the existing equipment.
Can I order as a tenant?
Tenants can generally choose a metering operator, although an existing building-wide arrangement may restrict that choice. Also clarify access, any required consent and availability for your building type.
Who handles necessary modifications?
Agree changes to the meter cabinet, metering method or electrical circuits with the property owner, grid operator and electrical contractor. Obtain a separate quote before commissioning these works.
