In October, we continued to improve StromNow across several important areas.
Our main focus remains on Home Charging, the expansion of our Fleet Portal, and further improvements to route planning and charging card comparison. At the same time, several major new features are already approaching launch.
Order your Smart Meter directly through StromNow
Our Home Charging area continues to grow.
You can now order your own Smart Meter directly through StromNow with our partner metrify.
The process is simple and available directly through StromNow. After your order, StromNow and metrify will take care of the next steps around setup and installation.
With a Smart Meter, you can track your electricity consumption much more precisely while also creating the basis for making even better use of dynamic electricity tariffs and Smart Charging.
Even more features for your Home section
More Home Charging features are already on the way.
Soon, you will also be able to use StromNow to:
sign up for a dynamic electricity tariff
apply for and manage your THG bonus
centrally manage Smart Meter, electricity tariff, and additional Home Charging services
These features will be gradually integrated directly into the Home section of the StromNow app.
Our goal remains to bring your vehicle, wallbox, electricity consumption, electricity prices, and additional EV services together in one place.
StromNow Fleet significantly expanded
We also made major improvements to the StromNow Fleet Portal in October.
Several existing features have been improved and new functions added to make it even easier for companies to centrally manage drivers, vehicles, charging cards, charging sessions, and costs.
A particular focus was placed on usability, transparency, and additional tools for fleet managers.
Home Charging Reimbursement improved
We also continued to expand Home Charging Reimbursement.
This makes it easier for companies to record, manage, and prepare reimbursement for home charging sessions made with company vehicles.
In October, we improved several existing workflows and added new features to make the process easier for both drivers and fleet managers.
Android Auto is getting closer
Android Auto is also approaching launch.
The technical implementation is complete and is currently waiting for final review and approval.
As soon as this process is completed, we want to make Android Auto available as quickly as possible.
This means StromNow will soon be available directly in the vehicle via Android Auto alongside Apple CarPlay.
Better data for charging card comparison
We are also continuing to improve our charging card comparison.
We are currently preparing new and improved data for comparing different charging cards and tariffs.
This should make price comparisons at charging stations even more reliable and help you better understand which provider offers the best price at a specific charging station.
Route planner faster and more reliable
Our route planner received further technical improvements in October.
We fixed several bugs and further optimized performance.
Routes should now calculate faster, while the overall planning experience becomes more stable and reliable.
We will continue to improve routing, charging stops, and overall performance in future updates.
Tesla and EZE still in preparation
We are also continuing to expand our charging network.
Tesla and EZE remain in our pipeline. The technical preparations are already well advanced, but final activation still depends on approval from the respective partners.
As soon as the connections are activated, the corresponding charging points will automatically become available in StromNow.
Step by step towards one platform for your entire charging experience
With Smart Meter, dynamic electricity tariffs, THG bonus, Home Charging, Fleet, and more upcoming features, we are gradually developing StromNow into a central platform for electric mobility and energy.
Our goal is to make charging on the road and at home as simple, transparent, and intelligent as possible.
Thank you for your feedback, ideas, and support.
