Updates in September 2026

In September, we continued to improve StromNow across several important areas. This month, our main focus is on Home Charging, a more reliable route planner, and further improvements to charging card comparison.

We have redesigned the entire Home Charging area and brought it more prominently into the app.

You can now connect your compatible wallbox to StromNow again and manage your home charging sessions directly in the app.

With Smart Charging, StromNow can help shift your charging sessions into more favorable time periods while taking current electricity prices into account.

This is only the beginning. Over the coming months, we want to take the entire Home Charging experience in StromNow to the next level.

Together with partners, we are working on bringing features such as Smart Meter integration and dynamic electricity tariffs directly into StromNow.

Our goal is to make charging at home even smarter by connecting electricity prices, your vehicle, wallbox, and charging times more closely.

You can now also find wallboxes and selected charging accessories in the StromNow Shop.

Step by step, we want to make StromNow a central platform for your entire charging experience — both on the road and at home.

We are also continuing to improve the comparison of different charging cards.

You can add charging cards from other providers to StromNow and compare prices at charging stations. In September, we are continuing to make this comparison even clearer, more reliable, and more useful when deciding how to charge.

The StromNow route planner has received additional updates to make route planning even more reliable and flexible.

Trailer-friendly planning has also been improved further to better account for higher energy consumption and the specific requirements of these journeys.

Through “Help Shape StromNow,” you can continue to submit your own feature requests directly in the app.

You can find this feature in the Me section under Support. There, you can also browse ideas from other users and upvote the features you would most like to see.

Feature requests with strong community value and a high number of upvotes receive greater consideration when we prioritize future improvements.

Our charging network also continues to grow.

Tesla, EZE, and several additional smaller charging point operators are currently in the pipeline. For some connections, we are still waiting for final technical approval or activation from the respective partners.

Once new operators become available, the corresponding charging points will automatically be activated in StromNow.

We continue to develop StromNow and want to align the app even more closely with your real-world charging experience.
