How much does a smart meter cost?
The offer and pricing provided when you sign up through StromNow apply. Check the total annual price including VAT and any one-off charges. Metering charges are separate from your electricity tariff: you also pay for the electricity you use.
Is installation included?
Ask whether the offer covers meter replacement, the gateway, the installation visit, operation, maintenance and data transmission. If you need a control device, specifically check its installation and ongoing costs.
When could extra costs arise?
Required upgrades to the meter cabinet or additional electrical work may be charged separately. Obtain a separate quote before commissioning this work.
How will I be billed?
Depending on your contract, metering charges appear on your electricity bill or on a separate invoice. Check your documents for the invoice issuer, billing start date, payment frequency and any pro-rata charge in the first year.
