Do I need Wi-Fi at the meter?
This depends on the communications technology used. A gateway with its own mobile connection does not need your Wi-Fi for that connection. Before installation, confirm which connection is planned for your metering location.
What happens if mobile reception is poor?
Ask Metrify to assess the connection at your metering location. Whether another antenna, an alternative connection or a further appointment is needed depends on the system. Also clarify which service is available until full commissioning and what it costs.
Can I connect the gateway via LAN?
Only use the connection method specified by your operator. An available network port does not automatically mean that it can be used for an internet connection.
What is the HAN interface?
HAN stands for Home Area Network. The designated interface allows users at the connection point to access metering information locally. Ask Metrify for credentials, instructions and supported applications for your metering system. Check compatibility before planning a smart home integration.
