Updates in May

What’s happening at StromNow in May

We continue to work with high priority to stabilize the system step by step, improve processes, and further optimize the charging experience in the app.

StromNow Fleet Platform in May

In May, we will launch our B2B Fleet Platform.

It will make it possible to manage fleets, monitor business charging sessions centrally in the new dashboard, and return to monthly billing.

We are currently looking for companies and fleets that we can onboard as pilot customers.

BSW Bug Fixed

The bug that caused duplicate, triple, or even quadruple charging sessions to appear at Berliner Stadtwerke has been fixed.

From now on, only one charging session will be displayed correctly.

Payment Provider Change

Due to the issues with invoices being marked as “partially paid,” we will change our payment provider from early to mid-May.

This should prevent these issues from occurring in the future and make payment collection overall more secure, stable, and reliable.

Further Improvements in May

In addition, we are working on many further improvements throughout May that will contribute to system stability and improve the app overall.

Our focus is particularly on more reliable technical processing, more stable workflows, and a better overall user experience.

More Operators in May

Additional operators and charging points will continue to be added throughout May. Many stations and partners have already returned, and more will continue to be activated step by step.

These include, among others:

  • Tesla

  • several municipal utilities

  • additional smaller regional providers

Special Case: EZE

We are still in discussions with EZE.

At the moment, EZE is blocking roaming access with us, which means these charging stations are currently not available via StromNow.

We are working to restore the connection, but unfortunately we cannot provide a final date yet.

Android Version

We are also continuing to work on the Android version. The release of the Android app is planned for summer.

Fraud Prevention

For fraud prevention reasons, we currently reserve €5 when a charging session starts. This is a pre-authorization and not an additional fee.

If this amount is used during the charging session, it will be offset against the actual charging costs as usual. If the charging session costs less, the unused amount will be released or refunded.

This security measure became necessary due to an increase in cases of credit card fraud and insufficiently funded accounts.

Thank You for Your Patience

We are continuing to do everything we can to make StromNow more stable, better, and more reliable step by step.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your honest feedback.
