In this article, you’ll learn how to set up both a personal and a professional payment profile in the StromNow app — and how to easily switch between them.
This feature is ideal if you use your electric vehicle for both personal and business purposes and want to keep your billing clearly separated.
Private & Business: Two Profiles in One Account
With StromNow, you can manage two separate payment profiles within one account:
Private Profile: for your personal charging sessions
Professional Profile (Business): for company or business-related use
Essentially, this gives you two accounts in one — no need to log in or out.
Each profile has its own billing details, invoice email address, and optional VAT ID, which are automatically displayed on your invoices.
How to Set Up Your Payment Profiles
Open the StromNow app
Go to Me → Payment → Payment Profiles
Create your Private Profile and your Professional Profile
In your Business Profile, you can add the following details:
Company name
VAT ID number (optional)
Billing address
Billing email address
All information you enter will automatically appear on your invoices and can be edited at any time.
How to Switch Between Profiles
You don’t need to sign out or switch accounts to change between profiles.
Open the app and go to Me → Payment → Payment Profiles
Select the profile you want to use
The selected profile will automatically be applied to all upcoming charging sessions
This allows you to choose flexibly whether a charging session should be billed privately or professionally.
Connection to the charging card
Each charging card (Classic or Mirror Card) can only be linked to one payment profile at a time.
If you use both a private and a business profile, we recommend ordering two StromNow charging cards.
This way, you can use each card for its dedicated profile — keeping your payments, invoices, and charging history neatly separated.
