Welcome to the Help Center! In this article, you’ll learn how to find charging stations in the StromNow app and view their details. We also explain why not all charging stations shown on the map are actually available for charging.
Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Charging Stations
1. Open the app and access the charging map
Open the StromNow app and tap “Lademap” in the top left corner. This will open a map showing numerous charging stations.
2. Identify charging stations
On the map, you can recognize charging stations by the lightning icons:
Green: Charging station is available
Red: Charging station is blocked or out of service
Gray: No current information available
3. View details
Tap on a charging station to see more details. You will receive information such as:
Plug types: Compatibility with your vehicle
Prices: Charging fees per kWh or per minute
Availability: Current status display
Price comparison: Compare prices from other providers and find the best option for your charging sessions
Additional features: Street View, charging power, and possible nearby facilities such as restaurants or restrooms

4. Use filters and search
Search: Enter an address, charging station, or street in the bar at the bottom to search for specific locations.
Filter: In the top left corner, you will find a settings icon. In the “Personal” section under “Filter Settings,” you can adjust the following options:
Plug types: Filter the display by vehicle compatibility
Charging power (kW): Select stations based on your preferred charging speed
Availability: Show only available charging stations
Preferred operators: Choose your preferred charging providers
Nearby: Show charging stations with additional amenities such as restrooms, restaurants, supermarkets, or hotels
Favorites: Tap the heart icon to add a charging station to your favorites and find it again more quickly
Important Notes
Not all charging stations are available:
Please note that not all charging stations shown on the map can actually be used. Some stations may be out of service, managed by other providers, or not connected to our network.
